About Erik

I have worked on innovation and technology in education for over 15 years, including at Kennisnet, TU Delft, ROC Mondriaan and Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam. At Grafisch Lyceum I set up four multidisciplinary innovation teams that worked on real questions from teachers. Teachers who were sceptical at first started working with AI themselves.

I design and facilitate workshops on AI, storytelling and futures thinking, and I build interactive prototypes to make ideas tangible, such as SXSW Compass and Curriculum to Culture. In 2026 I spoke at SXSW EDU.

My approach is simple: understand the problem, explore the options together, try something small, choose what’s worth it, and after a few weeks see what people actually use.
